SSLSplit Dependencies Won't Install

I have seen a few other posts on this but the solutions have not worked for me.

I have a Nano and installed SSL Split, but the dependencies won't install. I click install, and it flips over to "installing," but after a few minutes goes back to not installed.

Here is what I have tried so far.

  • Installed everything to the internal storage
  • Installed everything to the SD card
  • Installed the module to the SD and attempted to install the dependency to the internal
  • Installed the module to the internal and attempted to install the dependency to the SD card
  • Factory reset the device several times and tried the above on a fresh boot
  • Formatted the SD card several times and tried the above on a fresh card

My file system shows

Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 13.0M 13.0M 0 100% /rom
tmpfs 29.1M 704.0K 28.4M 2% /tmp
tmpfs 29.1M 80.0K 29.0M 0% /tmp/root
tmpfs 512.0K 0 512.0K 0% /dev
/dev/mtdblock3 1.3M 520.0K 824.0K 39% /overlay
overlayfs:/overlay 1.3M 520.0K 824.0K 39% /
/dev/sdcard/sd1 13.6G 40.6M 12.8G 0% /sd

And my config shows

config global
    option anon_swap '0'
    option anon_mount '0'
    option auto_swap '1'
    option auto_mount '1'
    option delay_root '5'
    option check_fs '0'

config swap
    option device '/dev/sda2'
    option enabled '0'

config mount
    option target '/sd'
    option device '/dev/sdcard/sd1'
    option fstype 'auto'
    option options 'rw,sync'
    option enabled '1'

After messing with this for several days I discovered the problem. Figured I would just post the fix in case someone else has the same issue...

During set up I updated to the latest firmware. The current version of SSLSplit is only good up to 2.5.4. After a firmware downgrade it worked.
