hsncorrosion
Is it possible or even legal to run ms office from a flash drive? How can you carry the serial number with the product? I know I could run a VM but that would be a lot of stress on my flash drive. I have open office portable but I want more power. If this is not legal then please lock this post. EDIT Is it possible to make any (purchased software) portable? Without writing registry keys?
Sparda
This is definitely not legal.

Sparda
even if you paid for it? Yep, software licenses are per computer, if you have it installed on one computer and are using it on another, you probably have probably broken about 20 laws. psychoaliendog
You could just use OpenOffice.org portable and be done with it. 100% legal, 100% free, 0% cotton. Under penalty of law do not remove this tag. Machine washable, Do not Iron.
Deveant
as Sparder posted, ur licence is per machien, its is possible to do this still thoug, well not so much for PP, Publisher, or FP, but i have seen an old version (Office XP) running off a portable HDD, though the user had to run a reg patch per computer. This is still illegal to do.
SomeoneE1se
Stop asking mods to lock your posts if it needs to be locked it will be, you don't need to ask... and there's no reason to lock it, if I'm not mistaken you don't want to break the law. So you're asking for help to avoid breaking the law.
