Th4ntis
So I have about 7 different WiFi Adapters here that I have accumulated over the years and I saw a DefCon video (41:54) recently where they talked about how you should always test your adapters. Well, when lookin around online I don't see a goof/definitive way of doing that. So can someone maybe point me in the right direction or tell me how to go about testing my adapters to check the range, Rx and Tx, etc.
Cap_Sig
The easiest way would be to lookup the specs from the model number on the devices. You would need specialized tools to measure TX power. Range can be tested by estimating distance from RX/TX location. What exact info are you wanting to find out about the adapter? TX power? Transmit or receive range?
