Anacleto
Hello to all. first of all I apologize for my bad english.I would like to buy a tetra pineapple but after reading a lot about the latest fw version and the many modules with problems I was wondering if it was better to install not 2.6.2 but 2.5.4. But I wonder if the correct and updated modules for 2.6.2 also work on the older 2.5.4 thank you very much Anacleto
b19e
The only problem i have with the tetra is the internet sharing, with windows 10, but at this point am pretty sure, its a windows 10 thing not a pineapple problem. so basically ever time i want to run the tetra i have to reconfigure the internet sharing and IP properties. for me that really isn't that big of a deal. what specifically are you referring to, when you say modules problem's. also remember, the pineapples are "not exactly" plug an play, you do need some skill . but not much. I've read quite a few threads, where people are bitching about the pineappple being junk. but its very obvious they have no idea what they are doing. so if you could be a little more specific , maybe we can help walk you thought some stuff. Anacleto
Hello b19e and thanks for your reply. That tetra is not plug and play is evident just as it is evident that you must be an expert. I'm not a hacker (black or white) and even less a linux expert but I'm an enthusiast who studies on his behalf and who likes to "play" with all these tools, I work with kali linux for my studies. what I see in the posts, however, is that there are really many problems and I would not want to be very experienced as I imagine you are and then be able to use a little the tetra. I remember. at least for me, it costs around $ 200. if it were a free tool, or an special fw to be mounted on any AP it would be understandable to have many problems but on a 200 $ instrument a minimum I would expect the functionality. with regard to the modules, for example, if you look at the download page, those relating to the ssl strip part it says that it goes only with the release 2.5.4 or lower and from there my question. maybe it's better to install 2.5.4 and have fewer problems? thanks again

b19e
In my opinion everything hak5 produces, is a baseline professional product. I work as a red teamer an incident response.. i personally us a lot of hak5 gear, the pricing is pretty spot on, i understand $200 bucks is a lot of money to the majority of people. however the potential that the tetra has is end-list. tor / vpn / proxy . etc . i have a few hidden around the office, with raspberry PI 4 running them. with zero problem's.. the question you need to ask your self, are you going to use it enough to justify the cost. i feel like theirs quite a few people, who buy them thinking they'll be able to get all the neighbors nudes , then quickly realize. that's not now it works.. You need to ask your self , are you wanting it as a hobbyist or are you legitimately trying to get into the field . that way you are able to figure out if the initial investment, worth your 200 buck's. honestly im not really sure what to tell you when it comes to the firmware , just being i haven't had any issues with 2.6.2. i would say just go ahead an get one, and just have fun with it, learn what you can with it , don't base you decision off of other peoples problems. in my opinion there's two many different variables, who knows what the others are doing right or wrong. Never mind the troll's . just focus on the people who are willing to build / make the community better,

Anacleto
Hi again b19e yes I understand what you say, my reasoning about $ 200 was to say that in fact it seemed a little too problematic to be a product for sale. that said, however, it is known that some modules do not go with 2.6.2 so in this sense (studies aside) I thought there was faster support from the hak5 team i will follow your suggestion Thanks again

I've heard Darren say in multiple videos , talking about how amazing the community is. i do believe the stronger we build the community the better the product can be.. If you end up getting one don't hesitate to reach out, or any question just ask,
