hsncorrosion
Where I work I have an admin account and of course access to telnet, ping, tracert, and other dos commands. but suddenly I cannot access any of that. In my account settings nothing has been restricted, What could be causing the problem? How can I get around this?
VaKo
Your credentials have been bumped? Ask someone if you have that access still.
Sparda
suddenly I cannot access any of that. In my account settings nothing has been restricted, What could be causing the problem? How can I get around this? In what way 'cannot'? You cannot find the keyboard to type in 'cmd'? You cannot remember how to use the keyboard? You cannot because the picture is stretched on your CRT too much and the Start button is missing? Give us a clue ^^

When I try to ping, tracert, or telnet I get a [destionation host unreachable] error. When I go to logmein.com I get a dns error. (the site is up, I used a freinds blackberry cell phone to see if the site was online)
Sparda
Your DNS server is fucked (or the host removed the DNS pointer, and the blackberry DNS server are out of date), try using a different open DNS server. It could also be that windows is been retarded or your box got owned and all DNS requests for that domain are ment to fail.

I think it may be the work of another admin. We have dansgardian which is a type of web block. It seems that no matter what account though this one room seems to be locked down. (we have 2 rooms, on with 20pcs and one with 10) the other room has full access. I wonder if an admin installed some sort of software on them. moonlit
Sure the sysadmin didn't just block it?
hsncorrosion
Sure the sysadmin didn't just block it? Possible. Work around?
moonlit
If the sysadmin blocked it, d'you think he might've done it for a reason? Besides, Google's gonna start giving you more answers than here if you have to carry on asking these questions... other than google, there's enough discussion about getting around blocks littered throughout this forum and I'm sure all over the net.
