Detecting WiFi Pineapple........

Recommended Posts

Hello,  I am having trouble getting my Tetra to detect when I run the wp6.sh script on Kali Linux. I have set the default gateway to 192.168.1.1 and 198.168.1.177 (which is the actual address when I use ifconfig) both do not seem to work. I try and connect using saved settings but it says "Detecting WiFi Pineapple......" indefinitely. The tetra has an IP address on eth1 so I know that should not be the problem and don't understand what the issue is. I should also mention I am connected to through the USB Ethernet. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

The default IP is 172.16.42.1:1471

Sounds like you are looking at the wrong adapter or do not have a connection to the pineapple established.

If you connect via the ETH port to a USB port on your computer it should auto assign an IP.  Then simply go to the above IP in a browser.  Some users have reported the same issue when using the script.  Personally have never used the script.

I've figured out how to get it working by adding an IP route for the tetra, but am now stuck on getting modules to load. I get an "Error connecting to WiFiPineapple.com. Please check your connection." when trying to load modules or bulletins from Hak5. Is this a problem with the wrong IP address being typed in wrong?

As you found out you need an internet connection to install the modules.

Also just a heads up, take a look here at the status of modules in the latest firmware:
