PaPPy
Is it possible to run a DHCP server on the shark jack? the intent is to plug into a computer that is setup to use DHCP and capture the MAC address of the computer, without logging into the computer. Not sure if I would need a cross over cable or adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-2-Pack-Crossover-Adapter/dp/B01I0E5EXU/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2/131-2461591-5240168?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01I0E5EXU&pd_rd_r=8b9ea05a-0156-44c3-8a42-434014d916e1&pd_rd_w=XdQ8h&pd_rd_wg=IUC0k&pf_rd_p=09627863-9889-4290-b90a-5e9f86682449&pf_rd_r=44NW08CMBR1W5W153MB5&psc=1&refRID=44NW08CMBR1W5W153MB5)
Darren Kitchen
This is absolutely doable We will be releasing a new firmware version very soon which will include the following commands: NETMODE TRANSPARENT NETMODE DHCP_SERVER and NETMODE DHCP_CLIENT With that you should very easily be able to capture the targets MAC address.
