SenorDestruction Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 ive only used a couple, dont think there are any opensource ones, i assume you mean video rather than just pictures... i used something called snagit for a uni project recently, it was alright i guess, not free though... ive seen people used windows media encoder... i think thats free on the windows site. it kinda depends what you want to do with it... bare in mind you wont be able to screen cap video you're watching if hardware acceleration is on... Anyway ive really only used snagit registered (work benifits ^_^). and the only other one i an think of is if u wanna film in game, then FRAPS, but :S yeah thats bout all i can help.
