Brennan Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I dont know all the things that can go wrong with a HDD so I just Have one question, Can a HDD go bad in a way that it will slow down? my reasoning is that I have a 200GB HDD and befor when I would nuke it it would only take 2 hours and every time I do it takes longer and now it is up to over 60 hours to nuke my HDD. Sparda Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 That could be a strong sign that it's just plain dying. Or it could just have so many bad clusters that it waste allot of time trying to format them (dying, but in the slowest possible way). Quote
