psycho
i am an system admin for my unit, and was wondering if there is a way to bypass a group policy set by the network admin to allow changing windows firewall settings to allow a computer to access the net from anywhere? psycho
that's the thing, the computer is currently away from our network, but even logged in as local admin, the firewall settings cannot be altered because of the policy set by my highers
Sparda
You shouldn't use corperate/educational computers to download torrents
nickisgod1
can you use the at command. if so open a command prompt, then tell at to open a command prompt int say 1 minute, this prompt, since launched by the system will have full system privs, ie root. then you can do whatever you want. kickarse
XP SP2 canned the AT command trick, nickisgod1. If they locked down your pc with GPO, not really. "Unit" Admin really doesn't sound like a high level of responsibility. Sounds more like PC technician.
