Ain_Soph_Aur Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 I will get to the point right away. I got myself a laptop the other day. All good with windows XP SP2 and all (got XP on my desktop for gaiming and stuff), but I'm not gonna use it for anything else then learning to use linux. Also for gaining more knowledge about network and how network works. So, here is what i need help with: the laptop detects my wlan unit. But aint letting me connect to my router. Yes, I use a key to protect my nett, but that aint the problem. I cant get that gateway address added to my wlan unit. I need to get online to install nubuntu to my laptop. (Or?) Also, Is there a way to let the laptop to autodetect networks all around? Like Im over at my friend that aint using WEP nor WPA. Quote
