Is there a way to bypass the geolocation, other than the commercial VPN services. The ones I've tried don't seem to work on all sites. Primarily I want to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. Is there a way to simply log onto my "Home" network in the USA, as if I was still home? There will be no computer on the "Home" network while I'm gone, but there is a network hard drive. Or are both possible? Just looking for the easiest/ cost-effective method. Raspberry Pi looks doable. I am looking to spend under $100. Cap_Sig Posted April 19, 2019 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Both are possible. Depending on your router model it may cost you nothing. If it supports DD-WRT or OpenWRT firmware. If it does, both have the ability to act as a VPN server. I know OpenVPN setup on DD-WRT has decent documentation for setup but I'm sure other setups are as well. It is normally recommended to have a router with some decent hardware resources, just depends on what all you plan to do with the router. A dedicated raspberry pi for the task probably is an easier method depending on your skill level working with routers. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
