Not able to connect to new pineapple tetra

I just got my new pineapple tetra.

But I'm not able to connect to it. It often disconnects, but when I'm able to connect I get the IP address 169.254.87.xxx which doesn't really help me because I can't access the interface. Or I don't know how to. Any workaround?
