Problem Installing a new script into nmap

Recommended Posts

Here are the directions I have followed to a T

I located c:\Program Files\Nmap\Scripts

I copy and pasted it in the scripts folder

nmap --script-updatedb

I then ran it --script <scriptname>

And this is what I get>>>

Starting Nmap 7.70 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2019-02-08 10:48 Eastern Standard Time

NSE: failed to initialize the script engine:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap/nse_main.lua:823: '--vulners' did not match a category, filename, or directory

stack traceback:

    [C]: in function 'error'

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap/nse_main.lua:823: in local 'get_chosen_scripts'

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap/nse_main.lua:1315: in main chunk

    [C]: in ?

I repeated this process a couple of times with the same result. What did I do wrong?
