unable to connect surf internet after connecting to Free Wifi

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My Pineapple Nano can surf internet and able to download the modules. When I connect my IPad or mobile phone to the free wifi that I setup, ,  the device has the error" Internet may not be available", may I know is there any setting that I need to configure?

I'm not able to insert any existing attachment as it was grey off for the "Insert Selected" to show the configuration. How can I attached the screenshot? Therefore, I  like to share the configuration on the pineapple nando.

Here is my configuration.

I have the setting enabled

Under PineAP Configuration

a) Allow association

i) PineAP Daemon : Enabled
 ii) Autostart PineAP : Enabled

b) Log PineAP events
c) Client Connect Notification
d) Client Disconnect Notification
e)Capture SSIDs to Pool
f) Beacon Response
g) Broadcast SSID Pool

Beacon Response Internal : Normal
Boradcast SSID Pool : Normal

Under Filters

Client Filtering -  Deny Listed Mac enabled ( There is no Mac address specified or added)
SSID Filtering - Deny Listed SSID (There is no SSID listed or added)

are you using an evil portal? sounds like the devices are checking for connectivity and are possibly failing or are blocked. can they surf web etc?

I download the Evil Portal Module but the module did not start at all.

The problem is that the device cannot surf internet though they are connect to the "Free Wifi".

Do note that the pineapple device itself where it connected to my PC can surf internet and can also download the bulletin.

How can I attached the image to show you the setting?

im not sure that will help you anyway, your PineAP seetings seem fine. i havea hunch that in your installing and trying out evilportal maybe something got changed with the firewall causing your issues, maybe wrong but its a hunch. If I were you i would backup any work then try a factory reset then try again, and if still not working i would then try a firmware recovery and try again after updating to the latest FW. if the Pineapple has internet then the clinets should too if PineAP allowed and not filtered.

There is also a chance the devices are prefering a different/faster connection if its in range?
