DBc00p3r
Hello I just bought a Tetra a couple of days ago so I am in the initial stages of learning about this fantastic device. I have set it up and downloaded the newest firmware. I am tethering through USB to my android device for internet. Now to my problem: After doing an initial scan in 'Recon" mode and selecting a SSID to add to the pool, I can see the signal being broadcast from other devices. When I try to connect to the SSID from a different non-related device it will not make a connection. I have tried connecting to the 'Open SSID' signal that is always being broadcast and it will not allow me to connect to that signal either. The only signal I can connect to is the 'Management' signal. I have tried messing with all of the settings I could think of and when non of that worked I restored factory default settings and wrote this post. I am going to include the System Log and the Dmesg: System Log: Wed Oct 31 14:04:37 2018 kern.notice kernel: [ 15.130000] UBI: ubiblock0_0 created from ubi0:0(rootfs) Wed Oct 31 14:04:37 2018 kern.notice kernel: [ 15.130000] ubiblock: device ubiblock0_0 (rootfs) set to be root filesystem Wed Oct 31 14:04:37 2018 kern.info kernel: [ 15.150000] VFS: Mounted root (squashfs filesystem) readonly on device 254:0. CuChulaind
I recently purchased a Tetra, and am experiencing the same. I was able to connect to the device at 1st, however no longer. I reverted back to 2.4.1, same issue. FWIW for a while I was able to connect to the device with android and iPhone's, not computers (Win 10 and *nix O/S's). Now however I can't connect with anything. This is also after several resets. Quite frustrating. I am at a loss.

CuChulaind
Hi all, Received some AMAZING support from hak5 after 2 weeks of multiple requests for help: "I'm sorry you're having trouble with your TETRA. Please may I know how you are powering the device? Do you receive any IP address on your Linux machine when the light on the TETRA turns solid blue?" Seriously hak5? These issues are sometimes related to how much power you're providing the Pineapple. Most people provide power only via the USB cable but some computers (like laptops) don't provide enough power over USB. May I know the ticket ID for your request? CuChulaind
For the record I am using the power supply that came with the device, and yes I get an IP when connected via the USB to eth1 (which works intermittently) of 172.16.42.206. This is using Linux per the support email, but the same work in Windows. I'll go steps further and report that I am running 2.4.1 after upgrading to 2.4.2 via PineAP and no improvement. On the web GUI I am able to connect through wlan1 to surrounding WiFi's, and pass this connection to my tethered Linux laptop. I still however can NOT connect to the device via wifi either by Linux, Windows 10, android or iPhone. #56732
rizzah
I am having the same problem . I was working with an older firmware for a long time, eventho it had bugs, it did work when powered on dual USB. Now i upgraded last week to the latest firmware and no device can connect to the guest SSID, also, it does not catch any another SSIDs anymore. rizzah
Hi @Just_a_User Just when you posted this i read about this filter in another forum topic! .. i set it to deny and the pineapple was working again as before. Fabrizio
I had the same issue. Switching both filters to deny solved the problem. Thanks!
