both tetra and nano cannot connect to 172.16.42.1:1471

as title implies, I can recieve an IP in the 172.16.42 range but cannot connect to the 172.16.42.1 1471 port.

happens with both my tetra and nano. running Kali linux, latest firefox ESR (didnt work in chrome either).

 

tried resetting the boxes and still nothing

Yes a ping comes back fine.

Solved by reinstalling Kali. not the best solution but it worked.
