Microsoft acquiring Github

Recommended Posts

Or, it could be MS is buying Github so they can all of a sudden change the terms of service and then jack everyone's code on the site to make a profit off of using it in their projects and make up some BS for the original creator to not get credit.  That sounds more like Microsoft.  It follows their history of stealing starting with Bill himself.

They'll Big Brother the whole thing, stick adverts everywhere, remove anything they deem a 'threat' to their precious OS (removal of Windows exploits wouldn't surprise me) and use it to monitor everyone. The usual Microsoft stuff.

Personally, I'd go elsewhere.

Sounds about right. I saw an awesome meme of this somewhere but can't seem to find it >.>

Personally, I don't like this at all. I'm pretty sure this will effect tons of profiles who do host Windows exploits but I wonder how though. Will they leave them alone? Will they remove certain content or put restrictions? Will they just flat-out ban the users? *shrugs* we'll see if this deal goes through ...
