PixL
Is it safe to use an online password store such as SecureSafe ( https://www.securesafe.com/en/ ) I was planning to use it's inbuilt random password generator to create new creds for all my accounts for security. My only concern is what if this site service closes and I lose access to my passwords? The old-school in me thinks a txt file of plain text passwords inside a LUKS encrypted partition might be more future proof....but less convenient than an iPhone app for SecureSafe. Thoughts? digininja
If you are going to use an online one, go with a bigger brand such as Lastpass. I prefer offline Keepass as I have full control over it then.

RandyCooper
I think Keepass is the safest. Do not you think the online store is suspicious? There is always a chance that someone will be able to steal your data.
crazyh0rse
I would opt to an offline a la KeePass anytime. Even if the online service saves the data encrypted, and decrypts in your browser, and you verify that is the case, you have no guarantee that they won't change that, and then you're kinda screwed.
