SomeoneE1se Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Dihydrogen Monoxide is a compound that should be banned. It's used as a Strong Cleaning agent, a coolant in some machinery, Large amounts of it can be found in some of the resent oil spills that have killed many animals, and it is the LARGEST component in ACID RAIN!!! Currently the US government refuses to ban the production, distribution, and use of Dihydrogen Monoxide this could be a costly mistake. AND YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TO BAN IT. Please no replies, I just want a yes or no in the poll. Please don't spoil my research at the end of the poll, I will open it up for responses. (poll will run for 5 days.) Quote

Garda Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 meh, i disagree. i think we should ban all Dihydrogen Monoxide EDIT: changed to Dihydrogen Monoxide, since SomeoneElse called me a spoil sport :( Quote
moonlit Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 He forgot to mention, it's also potentially fatal if inhaled. Quote

remkow Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Lets just ban everything w/ a scientific name Quote
Rab Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 ok, so it's been found in oil spills... but did it cause the oil spills? doubt it. so maybe instead of banning it, we should make oil tankers that dont sink? IDC. Quote
psychoaliendog Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Just imagine if this dihydrogen monoxide got into our water supply. I could see where this would be a terrorist field day. I've heard that Dihydrogen Monoxide was even responsible for creating the Grand Canyon, apparently the Colorado River contains tons of this stuff. Quote
KoR_Wraith Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Yeh...my chemistry teacher did this one to us back in 1st year. Quote
Rab Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 wow psychoaliendog, i'm really scared now, i think we should all panic! Quote

Sparda Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 When it's 100% pure it's a good liquid insulator of electricity, and because it likes to absorb heat so readily it's a fantastic way to transport heat. ;) Quote
