Reporting e-mail error: Failed to email report - no internet connection available

As the title says, When I try to send a test e-mail, I never receive one.  Looking in the /tmp/reporting.log it's stating that "Failed to email report - no internet connection available". There's probably something simple I need to alter to change this but I'm a troglodyte when it comes to the nitty gritty linux internals.  

The new look/feel on the this update though is fantastic and I want to thank all those that put forth any effort into bringing this to fruition.

The error states exactly what the issue is... there is no internet.

Does pinging 8.8.8.8 work?

yup. I can surf the web, download modules, ect. with my net connection being my eth0 connection from the nano connected via wlan2 to my home wifi.
