[RELEASE] WiFi Pineapple Firmware v2.0.2

Sebkinne

Recommended Posts

Brilliant, thanks.

(Someone might want to update the Blog)

[Update] PineAP Daemon no longer seems to be functioning, even when switched on. I can no longer capture SSIDs to the pool automatically (manually works), and beacon response / broadcast SSID are doing nothing when turned on.

In fact, I can't connect to the WiFi even with an open SSID or via a Management AP.

This update has been less than successful for me. Was working fine on 1.1.3

I don't. Any advice mate?

Not capturing SSIDs, not de-authing, not allowing associations.

Filters are on Deny Mode. Everything enabled in PineAP. Was working fine before the upgrade. I

I'm certainly not the only one:

i believe its an issue with linking, im sure it was mentioned somewhere on here the other day,  not sure on the outcome tho :(

Looks like even though the module installs Ettercap via okpg does not due to missing dependency libnet1 .

I've got a brand new unit w/ 2.0.2 and I am seeing the same issues.  Followed the "WiFi Pineapple Primer - From Recon to PineAP" video and NO clients are ever seen.  In addition to this issue, I also have an issue w/ timezones not being saved and the "open SSID" that I create - no client can attach to it.  So.....

Hi Everyone,

My apologies for taking so long on fixing the issue with missing libraries. I have just uploaded libnet0, libnet1, and libnids to our package repository. You should be able to install / run any packages now that require those libraries.

I have also made sure that these packages are included in the next firmware release (soon :))

Best regards,
Sebkinne

Hi Sebkinne,

Newbie here, can you point me to where and how I would I install the libnet1, libnids and libnet0?

TIA

Fire up an SSH connection to the pineapple.
Then use OPKG to firste update the repos. and then install the software you want to install. Like this:

# For the Pineapple NANO
opkg update
opkg install libnet0 libnet1 libnet-1.2.x libnids --dest sd

# For the Pineapple TETRA
opkg update
opkg install libnet0 libnet1 libnet-1.2.x libnids

To search for something, you need to first update. Then you can go like this:

opkg update
opkg list | grep "search_term_here"

# Example
opkg list | grep "libnids"

Hi Sebkinne

Sorry, do I understand your answer correctly. I also upgraded my nano to the latest version. I see all the fake SSIDs, but I am unable to connect to any one. Therefor no client ever connects. Will this been fixed with your next upgade? Should I downgrade to the version 1.xx?

Best regards,

Carlos

CRL,

In the new Firmware version the default setting is to only let allowed clients to connect. You will need to go in and change this under "Menu" > "Filters", next to Client filter click "Switch" so that "Deny Mode" is shown instead of "Allow Mode".

Taking a look at the repo. (opkg list | grep libnet) now, it looks like libnet0 and libnet1 are your options. Not libnet-1.2.x.

Hi

I Can't install the  Dependencies for ettercap I try to install libnet0 and libnet1 and libnids by opkg install  but I cant

can someone help me to do this

my pineapple firmware is 2.6.1

Here's a possible starting point: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/virtualization/virtualbox-vm  Issue here is if you plan to use pineapple modules you will need to use the same architecture which will be the hard part to overcome.

Tho there are issues with the modules that are being currently worked out the base system of the pineapple should be functional on the right firmware version.

I can finally solve the issue as I was expect the problem is with new update 2.6.x I found page for all firmware of pineapple and there if found (nano_factory.bin)   which make the pineapple downgrade to 2.4.1 firmware version  and solve all the issue with sslspilt and ettercap and other module even site survey is now work for me

For who have these issues with his pineapple you can go to this site

https://docs.hak5.org/hc/en-us/articles/360010471774-Firmware-Recovery

And then choose your pineapple type for me is nano

You will find all pineapple firmware

go down to wifi pineapple nano recovery firmware and download it

Press the reset button and insert it to your pc for five second and leave the reset button

Set the IP address of pineapple ethernet to 192.168.1.2

Now go to your browser and type 192.168.1.1

And upload the recovery firmware and enjoy
