nano_noob Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Hey all, story is, i plugged in nano, went to update, selected new firmware and hit go, then unplugged one of the USB's .... Now nano will power up, go solid blue light for 4 seconds and that's it, after 4 seconds its "dead". Tried the factory reset "To perform a factory reset from a fully booted WiFi Pineapple, hold the RESET button for approximately 7 seconds. The device will then reboot. " but nothing changes. If i press and hold reset after during initial 4 seconds it just stays solid blue but there is no possibility to connect to it etc. any help? Quote

Take a look at this - see firmware recovery section https://wifipineapple.github.io/wifipineapple-wiki/?_escaped_fragment_=setup.md#!troubleshooting.md Good luck :) Quote
nano_noob Posted October 13, 2017 Author Posted October 13, 2017 Thanks. gonna get usb->eth tomorrow and give it a try! Quote
Foxtrot Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 You don't need a USB to Ethernet adapter? That's what the USB plug on the NANO is. Quote
nano_noob Posted October 14, 2017 Author Posted October 14, 2017 i've tried factory reset but it wont procced, and i cant get to web iface so as i understand i need to follow Firmware Recovery road.... (Connect the host PC to the WiFi Pineapple via the USB Ethernet Port) Quote

An adapter isn't required. The difference between a normal boot up and a recovery boot is holding the button down while plugging it in. Try not to mess up firmware recovery as thats pretty much your final chance to recover a bad flash, read the wiki a couple of times then give it a go. Ask here for anything not listed in the wiki. Good luck :) Quote
