m40295
I saw your latest Defcon video packet squirrel. Any more information on that?
RazerBlade
From the Hak5 last video, DEF CON 25 Backstage, it reveals a new Hak5 device, the packet Squirrel. In the video, it reveleas that it is a MITM device. Screenshot from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEqC1piY3yY&t=1sWhat I want to know is, does anybody know about the capabilities of this device, what can it do, release date and of dose it differentiate from the wifi pineapple? They featured squirrel in the title of a Hack across the planet episode, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp4NSXO-7QE&t=360s.

Emperor
Another tip I found at 6:40. It's not an app, it's a device. It says: Be one of the first to... upcoming Hak5 device... The HakShop.com code... By the way, what is this? It looks like a Lan Turtle, but with a wifi adapter. Besides, turtles don't have cable or "tail" ;) .
Emperor
And it is for man-in-the-middle attacks. Edited August 1, 2017 by Emperor

Rainman_34
Something tells me the update on the Hakshop page will be related to the Lan Turtle 3G.
Draxiom
@Just_a_User and I have also been doing some research and found the same stuff that all of you did. However, we also discovered, there is a domain name registered (with nothing on it: http://packetsquirrel.com) and we combed through the fcc site looking for the new device, but was not able to find it. I have bugged seb, mubix and darren on irc, but they are all keeping quiet for now...
Rainman_34
I have a feeling we will not be disappointed.
Dave-ee Jones
The Packet Squirrel sounds like a small AP made to intercept packets, like a miniaturised PineAP. Could be a wired connection only though, however MITM sounds like wireless to me.
