The more people that hack Android, the stronger it gets. I would say that their bounty also brings all the attacks to it, which is why there are more found vulnerabilities in it since the OS is more or less open, you can install in emulator and even VM software to test exploits and not even need a real device to do bug hunting with, although I'm sure many are native hardware devices that they also attack based on what the phone has under the hood.
