DavidNeil
I am attempting to connect my android phone(moto z) to Pineapple Tetra. When I attempt this I get : root@Pineapple:~# opkg install udev Unknown package 'udev'. Collected errors: * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package udev. Pretty sure this exists. I saw this on http://www.emuf.cz/download/openwrt/brcm47xx/packages/Packages Package: udev Version: 142-1 Depends: Provides: Source: package/udev Section: base Status: unknown ok not-installed Essential: no Priority: optional Maintainer: Geoff Levand <geoffrey.levand@am.sony.com> Architecture: brcm47xx Installed-Size: 166753 Filename: udev_142-1_brcm47xx.ipk Size: 167183 MD5Sum: dbfbbee1b129636c2ab2bb6b2b5eac26 Description: udev allows Linux users to have a dynamic /dev directory and it provides the ability to have persistent device names. DavidNeil
I just discovered that udev is not needed to attach my android. What I was missing was to place the android in "debugging" mode. I then got the handshake RSA etc. and adb devices shows my phone. I think I may write a tutorial about what I did. Most things I had been reading made assumptions that I did not know about or I misread the information. My problem will be to uninstall some of the packages that I installed in my effort to discover the issue. It may be that I do need one of these and it wasn't simply turning on debug.
