Do you think the latest registered acount is a spam bot?

Yes, we know there are millions of bot accounts all over this place, we're working on it.

Every time a spam message is posted one of us dependable and ever-present mods comes and kills it, logs its name and IP and then they all get taken to a large room and sprayed with bullets.

Well done sparda, you can find bots in the user list. However theres fucking hundreds of them, I've deleted at least 100 of them this week and I have plenty more to do. We need to move to a different board software as using add-ons makes backups a problem. So yes, there's a lot of spammers, we know, we've spent a lot of time and effort keeping it at a manageable level. If you want to pay for a full time spam bouncer, start fund-raising because that's what its going to take to keep this place 100% spam free.

we seem to be a some sort of list i've seen another forum who had the same spam threads I found here same.. so it's got to be some sort of bot list... and that would mean a simple change of forum software would solve the problems.. at least in the short term

EDIT: I suggest SMF and a cool little mod http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=106 ... that would kill off most of the spam bots. And all you'd have to do is just edit it a bit to instead of asking for a password, ask "what do you trust?" and because the answer is everywhere it would kill spam bots but not humans.(who watch the show.)

EDIT2: and a way to handel noobs http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=218

EDIT3: this is mod is damn cool for the questions forum http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=7

More mods = database problems when backing up and restoring. So i'm hesitant to try it without FTP access. Plus, if you reply to a spam it gets deleted.
