wifi-starter Posted October 14, 2016 Share Posted October 14, 2016 Hello, I am newbie and I am using VM and using Kali. Issue I am having is when i connect Tetra on kali, I can see the realtek usb 10/100 LAN connected. i did ifconfig but i was not able to locate the new Ethernet interface. I checked settings and saw that I can see the Ethernet though it is in off state. If i turn this interface on than my lan interface goes down and visa versa. Please suggest. b0N3z Posted October 14, 2016 Share Posted October 14, 2016 you need to go into the network settings and set the primary interface for internet as primary. Also I dont know how you have it connected (USB) but make sure that the tetra is connected to the VM through the usb devices and is selected. Sebkinne Posted October 14, 2016 Share Posted October 14, 2016 This is a known kali issue. You are best off setting the TETRA interface to s static IP (172.16.42.42) or running the wp6.sh script.
