Using a valid cert for SSLSplit

Recommended Posts

When using SSLSplit, we know that the browsers give an unsecure connection error because the certificates are not valid, but I have read that if one were to buy a valid certifricate and use that, they can avoid the browser warning. If I were to buy a SSL certificate, how would I about doing this with the WiFi Pineapple SSLSplit module?

tried going to lets encrypt?

I've tried, but not managed to work...
still trying...

But SSLSplit works on some sites... some, lets say, 'not so well known' sites..
So the browser don't  show that warning about the identity of the cert.

Like i said, still trying to get it to work.

If someone did some progress already, please post here to help us ;)

You can't use a certificate from a proper CA like Lets Encrypt because the browser will warn any clients about the CN's being different.
