RasPi,Kali, wifi

Why is Kali and Ubuntu mate on my raspberry pi 2 calling my ethernet interfaces enx123456789123 (123456789123=HWaddr or mac address) and wlan0 is the same way wlxmacaddr.

Im puzzled as to why it does this?

TL;DR: The interface names are weird, but predictable.

This may, or may not work, haven't tried yet, since my laptops still use the old naming scheme.

sudo ln -s /dev/null /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-name-slot.rules

Might want to make a copy of 80-net-name-slot.rules first, just in case...

for the raspberry pi that did not work but for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS it works fine. wierd
