Omerta
Hello again! I have now gotten my sdcard to work and are able to install modules. But when it says it needs to download dependencies it doesn't do that. with some modules it starts installing and then it just go back to the "not installed" button. I have tried a few and no one seem to work. What am i doing wrong? I got 8 GB of storage on the sdcard.
sud0nick
Which modules in particular? Are you installing them to the SD card if it gives you the option?
Omerta
I'm trying to install them on my sdcard. Nmap, occupineapple, urlsnarf etc. Everyone I tried did not work at all. Since I'm a newbie learning I have probably done something wrong. Hope someone can clarify this problem!
Whistle Master
Can you try to do opkg update ? I suppose that there an issue with http://downloads.openwrt.org at the moment.
FutureBSD
As I'm having the problem with "opkg update" for the last two days as well (downloads.openwrt.org seems to be offline and therefore I'm not able to install dependencies) I'm wondering if there are plans to mirror the required files on a Hak5 server as well? Or is there already a backup repository I can switch to?
Omerta
Yeah I can't access it either. Hope it will be fixed soon

Whistle Master
The problem is with the openwrt repo which is not responding. Seb is working on a solution.
sud0nick
I thought this was fixed. It wasn't working the last couple of days but it started working again last night. I guess it went out again?
Omerta
Great! Then I will just patiently wait for it to be fixed.
Whistle Master
Indeed, it went out again :(
Rose Kolodny
I tried loading DNSSpoof on my nano and it installed, but upon trying to install dependencies, the dependency install just ran and ran without ever stopping. Stranger yet, I couldn't get any other modules to install dependencies. Even stranger, the issue persisted after resetting the unit (via press and hold on the reset button) and reformatting the SD card and resetting again. Even on a "clean" unit, the dependency installations would no longer work. I tried running this in two different locations over three independent gateways that I confirmed had internet connection at two different times. At each one, I was able to reach the internet to pull up bulletins and module lists... so internet was not the problem. My next step is going to probably be jffs2reset -y && reboot, and if that does not fix the issue, I'll probably try to reflash the latest firmware unless someone either has a different suggestion or wants more info as a potential bug. Sebkinne
The OpenWRT software repositories are currently down. Until they are back up, there will be issues :( We are working on a future solution to prevent this from happening again. Rose Kolodny
Ah, that makes things easier. I figured it wasn't that because was setting up a tetra right before and managed to install all the things without a hitch. The repos being semi-borked would explain the problems. How can I check the status of the repos? I just got a bunch of new genomes in at work, so I'm not going to be able to play with the pineapple too much for the next couple days anyway, so no rush for me. Rose Kolodny
I was having the same issue. it appears that openwrt.org is currently down, and that's where it's trying to pull the dependencies from. According to Seb, we can expect this to be a problem until the site is back online.

HammerHead_0718
Can't seem to install dependancies. I'll download the modules and install them on the SD card, then install the dependencies on the SD as well. I've tried factory reset and installing them again, but it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks. Sebkinne
I also have this problem with sslstrip and a couple other modules. Been ongoing for qeeks. SSLStrip is currently not available, and I do not have an ETA. What else are you unable to download? We are up and running on all services for the NANO and TETRA.
