KGONEPOSTL
Kinda strapped for cash at the moment. Thinking either this with the ralink 3070L chipset for$13 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PIQ9ETY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_KRAKwbQKWVP97 Or this with the ralink 3070 chipset for $17. It has 3000mw over the other one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EFLKNJI/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_BUAKwb7463JZ0 I'm looking for something that has high compatibility and a strong signal strength that works well in kali

0phoi5
This was already discussed here. My personal choice is the the Alfa AWUS036H with a 7dbi directional. It's affordable and the best balance between power and size. You can fit it in your pocket, but it gets the job done well. *Edit* More Info: I've used this with Kali. Works right away, plug n play. Can up the power using this method. Can link with Yagi if required. Using 7dbi directional gave me enough power to target WiFi about 70 meters / 76 yards / 230ft away. Using 2 Yagis, I've managed around a mile / 1.3km (clear line-of-sight). Edited January 12, 2016 by haze1434

0phoi5
AWUS036NHA "Black" Alfa - 2000 mw (33 db)B/G/N MiMo RP-SMA. Atheros AR9271. Great injecting card due to wattage output. Highest wattage. Make sure to set your region to BO so you can push over 27 db output. This card is the best card to use if you're hunting off-band wifi; Atheros chips are the best at raw frequency input instead of channel # input. Can't argue with that. I have silver, but black sounds nicer.

That price difference comes from somewhere...
KGONEPOSTL
Does the wireless g alfa get better range then the wirelless g/n model? From what I understand dedicated wireless g has better distance. Please respond asap.

0phoi5
Found the Chinese version for $8 shipped. No way would I purchase one for $8. That's stupidly cheap. You'll probably find this to be false economy. Save your money and get a $30 one Edited January 14, 2016 by haze1434
cooper
What does "false economy" mean? Do you mean counterfeit?
0phoi5
false economy noun noun: false economy; plural noun: false economies an apparent financial saving that in fact leads to greater expenditure. Basically, he'll probably end up disappointed with the cheap one and end up buying another, or the electronics/device won't be as rugged as a decent product.
