cooper
Take a look at this thread. It seems at least somewhat similar. Maybe the guy who started that topic can help you out?
blip
Hello! Pardon the super-noobness, but I also have a bit of an install issue with Yardstick. Kindly request anyone's assistance. Bottom line, I can't get YS1 to be recognized by Linux. I've followed the instructions in the rfcat Readme file and what Shannon/Darren both said on Hak5 episode 1908 (I believe I followed the directions correctly). I am running Kali GNU/Linux 2.0 (sana) 64-bit, via Virtual machine, which I think may be a contributing factor. My virtual Machine is powered by Oracle VirtualBox 5.0.10. My machine is a newer Dell laptop running 64-bit Windows 10. I apt-got the dependencies mentioned in the Episode and the RFCAT readme. I did conduct any bootloading to the YS1 hardware, because my understanding from listening to Darren is that isn't needed. When I plug-in the YS1 into the USB port while running Kali, Windows (running in the background behind VirtualBox) gives me an alert saying it doesn't recognize the USB device. I also can't get Kali linx to recognize the RTL SDR that I bought from the Hak Shop as well (even though windows picks it up just fine when I use SDR sharp). Any ideas for this new guy? Thanks!
