I have a MacBook pro retina and have installed vm ware fusion on it. I have Kali 2.0 running on this and would like to have the wlan0 thing for wifi hacking. I know you need an external USB adapter for this but am not sure which to go for and which works the best? I would like to find an adapter that would run reliably on my system. A popular model for pentesting is the Alfa AWUS036NHA and can be bought on Ebay or Amazon and the likes. It's all about what chipset the wifi cards use. Installing the Alfa cards on OSX is a bit of a hassle, but it works on 32bit Macbooks.So do a readup on which model you like and find a tutorial how to install the driver.
