Issue with RTL8187 (red led) MK5

hello everyone,

for some reason i cannot turn the RTL8187 on i have tried via the web GUI and via SSH both ways are not turning on.

however when i do connect via a wireless connection i am able to turn this on

i am running firmware 2.3 of the pineapple

does anyone have an idea?
