joeyrowleysr Posted June 27, 2015 Share Posted June 27, 2015 I have purchased this unit from ebay with the expectation that it is new and unused so I want to know for sure that it is not my brain fart causing these issues Pineapple Hardware Version (ex: Mark III, Mark IV, etc.): mark IV Pineapple Software Version (ex: 2.5.0, 2.6.4): unknown OS used to connect to the pineapple: win 7 Network layout of how your setup is connected (including IP information):connected to home network via wireless on laptop with ICS activated. LAN adapter is set to IP 172.16.42.42. Cable plugged into the POE LAN connection. followed all steps on https://scotthelme.co.uk/wifi-pineapple-setup/ when I get to the step of " Open up a browser and head to the Pineapple's IP address: 172.16.42.1:1471 I get nothing. Same results with 172.16.42.1/pineapple All the tools/options that are running on the pineapple when the issue happened:unknown Ping results from computer to pineapple:reply from 172.16.42.42 destination unreachable. 100% packet loss Is the problem repeatable (Yes/No): yes Steps taken which created the problem: none unit is supposedly brand new Error Messages:none Log file information(use spoiler tags for large logs): Anything else that was attempted to 'fix' the problem:tried with 2 different laptops with the same results Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
digip Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 Sounds like its possible the internal IP is not what you expect. When in doubt, reset the device, update the firmware, and start over.
