[Infusion Idea] adblock infusion for Mark V

is there a chance someone can make an infusion to block ads?

example situation;

when you use faceapp or any other app and tap on a link you go to a webpage that sometimes has ads on it.

or when you us a free game app you also get ads.

now is it this possible yes or no and would someone want make it?

this is just an idea, hope you understand.

Totally possible, its just a matter of removed the js or html (or both) from the page but if the site uses ssl then you can't, from the pineapple, edit the page. It would have to be used with ssl strip or something. I'd rather just have a captive portal that told people to install adblock plus if I ever needed a reason to block adds.

Or you block offending IP ranges.

If you have a list of domains or ip addresses to block, you can set up iptables to do this.
An interface to manage ip tables for the device would be an infusion.

Id have to load take a look around the pineapple later, but im sure you can block the hosts / ips with dnsmasq.conf

you will still need to popuate a list of blocked ad hosts though.

You can get the lists from i-blocklist.com. I use their lists for my firewall.

you could also hijack the dns requests with the pineapple

http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/ has a list for the hosts file for major ad contributers
