gottdestodes
I just have a quick question I probably has missed this answer. When charging the Pineapple Juice 7800 does it have to be on or off? Thanks Mark

gottdestodes
i do have another question. is it normal for the ac adapter to get really hot while charging? also has an electrical smell to it as well.
fringes
No it is not! Does it get hot if it is plugged in but the battery is disconnected?
gottdestodes
It does not get hot when just plugged in to outlet and not battery. I have it plugged in now for 3 hours not connected to the pineapple juice and the adapter is not hot.
fringes
Yeah, sounds like a short in the battery. I've read in these forums about cold/bad solder joints in many of these batteries. Is this the first time you've used it? If so, I would contact the hakshop for a replacement. Or just open it up and check/fix the wiring yourself assuming you can solder. Also make sure you are using the charger and not the adapter of course, though that shouldn't cause the problem you describe.
