Im gonna agree with metatron in the fact that confidance is important.

Truth is be yourself. Be a geek, you'll find alot of girls will appreciate it, and may even have a hidden interest in tech. I know my gf now is actually quite techy and has impressed me a few times, but before she got to know me she had no idea she would like it.

Have confidance in yourself and your abilities, be honest, listen, find common interests, stick up for her, and support her and you can get any girl.

As a guy who is 6'0 and 270lbs, and not great looking, I can tell you it works, You'll find there are more girls out there who, like you, are looking for someone, and are jsut as insecure as you may be. So my advice in short....GO FOR IT.
