kylls
to understand my problem see https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/33744-reaver-pro-in-mark-iv/ I try clean flash my mark IV bought then the CP2102 here http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CP2102-USB-2-0-to-UART-TTL-6PIN-Module-Serial-Converter-/170813830162?hash=item27c54c3412 took over 60 days to arrive. When I put it in the ubuntu becomes very hot heated (is this normal?) but the 5V LED is illuminated, think not burned the equipment, but ubuntu does not recognize. Was wondering if someone could take a picture with the correct pinout please. And what steps I need to make in ubuntu so that it recognizes the equipment I tried lsusb, lspci, dmesg but got no signal. my ubuntu is Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS 64bits. Linux zion-corp 3.13.0-27-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Thu May 15 18:06:16 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux any help will be very welcome. Best Regards! Mr-Protocol
I dont see the pictures. But you do not want to hook up VCC at all. You only want Tx, Rx, and Gnd. What distro of linux are you using? It should show up in your dmesg | grep tty

Mr-Protocol
I'm not sure, I've never had an issue with those instructions. Maybe check for errors while the pineapple is booting and the serial is hooked up and connected.
