Having issues with Pineapple detecting SD card partitions at boot

I'm having an issue with my Pineapple MkV detecting the partitions on SD cards during boot. It detects that a card is present but will not enumerate the partitions. Running an fdisk -l on the card will result in an error the first time and then properly enumerate on the second run. Formatting the card through the web portal will allow the card to be used as normal until a reboot then the partitions won't be recognized again. I've tried several cards (Kingston/Sandisk 2/4/16/32 GB) including the card that came with the pineapple and they are all experiencing the same issue.

I've updated to the latest 2.1.1 firmware and tried to do a couple of factory resets and am still seeing the issue. Is there anything I can try to make it reliably see the cards or is there some defect in the unit I was shipped?
