KelloSmith
I received my pineapple a few days ago with a working wlan1. Messed around with it from a little while then decided to do a firmware upgrade. After the upgrade wlan1 went missing. I have done a factory reset a few times with dip switches and with the web interface and still missing. I have flashed the firmware back to 1.2.0 firmware not luck. I have done a manual upgrade and now luck. I have tried wifi detect > /etc/config/wireless and still not wlan1. I am out of ideas on what to try. I ran the following for more info cat /etc/config/network > /sd/network-settings.txt && cat /etc/config/wireless > /sd/network-settings.txt config wifi-device radio0option type mac80211option channel 11option hwmode 11ngoption macaddr 00:13:37:a5:41:37option htmode HT20list ht_capab SHORT-GI-20list ht_capab SHORT-GI-40list ht_capab RX-STBC1list ht_capab DSSS_CCK-40config wifi-ifaceoption device radio0option network lanoption mode apoption ssid Pineapple5_4137option hidden 0option encryption noneconfig wifi-ifaceoption device radio0option network lanoption mode apoption ssid Pineapple5_managementoption encryption psk2+ccmpoption key 'pineapplesareyummy'option disabled 1 Thanks

newbi3
Try going to an older version of the firmware, sounds like your pineapple may have a hardware defect
KelloSmith
newbi3 I have tried the following firmware versions. 1.2.0 1.4.1 2.0.4 2.1.0 2.1.1 Which firmware would you suggest trying next? It was working when i received it until I upgraded to the newest firmware. I have also noticed my sd card does not show up. I have formatted it fat32 and ext4 from a live cd. I updated my fstab config after each and still does not show up. Thanks

If I add an external USB wifi card, I can use that as wlan1 without issues... It seems that radio1 is completely gone/dead.
DataHead
In the logs provided, it would seem the same to me, perhaps. I would def talk to seb and or darren, try contacting them on here, email, or via irc channel. As you may have a defective device

DataHead
I have a question for you guys, are you using powered usb hubs?
KelloSmith
DataHead, I did not use any powered hub. Mine was working fine until i did an OTA upgrade to the newest and then everything quit working. Kello
MarcSThe1st
Dear all, thanks for trying to help. I booted the Mark V today wall-plug-powered an dWLAN1 was there again. Usually I use an USB-Powerbank with provides ~2A @ 5V (so 10VA). I think due to new firmware the MKV needs a little more while booting so WLAN1 was not recognized. So for me it's working again - maybe try that as well. BR M
vlaurens
All, The issue seems to be fixed for me now... After reading the last post from MarcSThe1st, I decided to play around with my power supplies. My Pineapple was powered by a 9V @ 1.5A power supply. I'm not sure that's the supply it came with. I changed this to 12.6V @ 1A and lo and now wlan1 is back and working. Just for the fun of it, changed back to the 9V power supply and wlan1 is still there... MarcSThe1st
same for me.. Strange but fine as it is working now...
vlaurens
...and it's gone again. Marc does it still work for you?
MarcSThe1st
As I read your answer I tried booting up via power bank (I'm in office). Result: Very Instable. Booting for ages then finally gets WLAN1 working for short but starts rebooting immediately. I'll try later with the wall-plug. What I realized is that the MKV really fast get warm (due to booting). I can also connect to web-Interface but this is as well VERY slow...
Sebkinne
I can only repeat myself here. Please email shop@hak5.org to get the unit replaced. Wlan1 should work at all times with the supplied PSU / any of our batteries. Best regards, Sebkinne
