Sadly the systems I sometimes work on computers attached to legacy cnc "a very lathe that cuts metal" machines, point of sale systems "IBM" do not support usb flash drives ebay has them for a dime a dozen. The last thing was about an proprietary ssh like by attachmate systems sadly I don't think putty will work with it. Consider it solved.
