VaKo Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Why on earth would I want to put myself through using that piece of crap? Its what all my mates use, and once you hack the crap out of it, it runs fine Quote
Sparda Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Don't forget, Microsoft lose money if you use aMSN because they can no longer advertise to you ;) Quote
moonlit Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 yeah, bottom of the main window, they're text adverts now though I think, right down the bottom... I think they still use banner ads too somewhere but there's hacks to get rid of those Quote
VaKo Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I wondered what all those large blank spots of gui were for. Quote
Guest ABC Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 haha .. one of em hacks, "MSN+", a few friends of mine use, has tonnes of spyware, so be careful Quote
cooper Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Now that's the ultimate hypocrisy: Provide an ad-removing hack using a program that installes spyware on your box. Quote
wetelectric Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 haha, crazy. spy-ware supported ad remover.niiice. Windows users should try outpost firewall. It has a built in plugin that blocks the fuck outta ad servers. There's a free version and a paid version. Quote
uber_tom Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 so.... does this beta have any new/interesting fetures? Quote
KoR_Wraith Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 haha .. one of em hacks, "MSN+", a few friends of mine use, has tonnes of spyware, so be careful This statement is incorrect. At the installation stage the program gives you an option of: Help Support MSN+ - Ad Supported and Do not support MSN+ - No Ads Something like that anyway, point is it gives you the option of installing the adware or not. Guest ABC Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 aparently even if you selcet no adds, it still puts in spyware .. you may not see adds but spyware is there Quote
Guest ABC Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 so.... does this beta have any new/interesting fetures? it just seems to be alot more quick to load, and a wee bit more stable Quote
