TN.Frank
An easy way that I've used for dealing with e-mail is to have a couple different accounts that I use for different things. I have my bank, credit cards, ebay, amazon, ect linked to a husmail account that I use just for those important things. Everything else like social stuff, web sites that I'm on, stuff that really doesn't matter is linked to another account. That way anything that really matters goes to an account where I can deal with it in a priority manner and anything on the other account is stuff I get to when I can get to it. HushMail has free accounts that you can sign up for and I'm sure there's a few other web-mail accounts you can also get but I've used HushMail for years and it's been rock solid so it's my current "go to". Anyway, just wanted to pass this on, probably something everyone already knows about but I just had to say it anyway.
cooper
I've got my own meaningful domain with a small number of mailboxes but unlimited aliases so when some company wants an email address for me, I give out <theirname>@<mydomain.nl> (which tends to raise a few eyebrows when this is a face-to-face exchange). It all goes to the same place so that's all good and if I break contact with a company (no longer a customer, received spam, other) I just remove the alias and the domain's mailer daemon returns the mail as undeliverable (or whatever. Point is *I* don't get it anymore). Served me right for over 10 years already. Edited September 10, 2014 by Cooper

Much more productive than having to manage several accounts, IMHO.
