cooper Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) Impressive. Nice to see I'm not the only one with that wireless keyboard. :) If I were to change anything, I'd put the pineapple with the other side up and drill some holes in the inside plate so it has a better chance to shed some of the heat it generates. What's that flexible cable in the top-left corner of the box, behind the 2 antennas? Edited July 25, 2014 by Cooper Quote

Thats not a bad idea... The cover is thin wood covered with a carbon fiber vinyl so I don't know how well that will shed heat. Quote
Guest spazi Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Always nice with some inspiration. Looks kinda cool bro! :) Quote
theshabobo Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Slight update, with the battery at 26,000mah the life with just the pineapple and the tmobile air card at 4G, the total uptime was 18 hours. Quote
cooper Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 What was that wire I asked about? You probably missed it since I edited my post as you replied. Quote
theshabobo Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 That is for the 15.6 in monitor that will be mounted in the lid. Right now it's rc a video. But will be replaced with hdmi. Quote

And it only cost me about 20.00. I'd remove all the foam anyway. It's just going to burn up your components. Use velcro or command strips to hold the stuff inside. At least you'll get some airflow around the hot stuff. The wooden box is going to insulate the stuff as well. Quote

I understand, i did a test with it today in 102 degree weather, System on, Case closed, and the system dis not over heat at all. It was warm and was running for about 5 hours in the sun. Quote
cooper Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I think the question is "why did you put the foam in in the first place?" - simply to keep stuff in position or does it do more for your specific setup? Are there cheaper alternatives (velcro, etc)? Pro's and cons? Quote
barry99705 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I'd worry about the batteries. They don't like heat. Quote

theshabobo Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 Space is an issue as the case was bought from s size specs of all the items. But I'll look and see if it can fit. Quote
