Also, although it probably been mentioned here before, for anyone having trouble i found that changing the ssid name to the same as your targets you can have better luck. i used maltego and snoopy 2.0 to passively discover the name of previously connected AP from targets through probe request. This method is more useful for targeting a specific device. Also at&t is the most used service in my area, so i also found that changing the ssid name to "attwifi" works a majority of the time.
