Captuing 5Ghz traffic

I'm trying to use the wifi pineapple to capture all 5ghz traffic, on channel 44.

However when I try to run

iwconfig wlan0 channel 44

I get:

Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
    SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.

Also none of the 5ghz frequencies seem to be listed:

          Channel 09 : 2.452 GHz
          Channel 10 : 2.457 GHz
          Channel 11 : 2.462 GHz

I would appreciate any help on this matter.

The hardware does not support 5GHz.

Thanks for the response. The box does however state that one of the wireless cards does support 5Ghz. Could you please clarify this?
