cooper
https://www.imperialviolet.org/2014/06/20/boringssl.html Seems that with the unique needs of Google's various endeavors and OpenSSL's complete and utter inability to run a project, they've forked the OpenSSL code to make BoringSSL which will include their patches, LibreSSL's patches (where appliccable), be such licensed that LibreSSL can take from them and, crucially, that does NOT aim to remain ABI and API compatible with OpenSSL, who made a point of exporting everything. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. The first codedrop has already appeared on googlesource.
