groundskeeperwilly
Hi there, I've just received my pineapple and am trying to do the first upgrade using the sd card provided. Having followed the instructions that came with the pineapple, all i get is a solid green light (after the amber and red for a couple of seconds before they go off). I've read the instructions in this thread here https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/32816-sd-card-doesnt-work-on-a-new-device/?hl=%2Bpineapple+%2Bwill+%2Bnot+%2Bupgrade but still no use, the green, amber and red lights come on when i plug the pineapple on, then the amber goes out (after approx 2 seconds) followed by red (after approx seconds), then i'm left with solid green. Is the pineapple knackered? I'll try another sd card but i can't see anything wrong with the one that came when its connected to my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. groundskeeperwilly
So I tried another sd card but eaxctly the same, it's as if the pineapple doesn't see the SD port. I found the details and process on how to recover a bricked pineapple here: https://wifipineapple.com/?flashing and followed them to the letter, and it successfully flashed (factory-1.2.0.bin). I put the dip switches back to their original positions and pulled the plug. Rebooted the pineapple and now I see all LED's come on, followed by blue and amber going out, then the red 2 seconds later, fthen the blue led comes back on and flashes continuously. I can't get to the web interface on 172.16.42.1 either by statically assigning an address on my PC or by allowing DHCP. This is the same even if I insert an SD card with the latest firmware (1.4.1) renamed to update.bin or upgrade.bin. I have a USB-to-TTL cable on order but I'd appreciate any guidance on any other directions i can try to get the pineapple up and running - I need it to pen test a new wireless infrastructure in two weeks and was hoping to play with it before using it for the test. python2004
I have the same problem after updating the firmware yesterday. Before that everything worked fine. Independent what I am trying out (factory reset, unbricking guide, ...) - nothing works - it always ends up in the blue LED flashing infinitely
